BAGGAGE PICK-UP AND DEPARTURE FROM BALI

On the evening of your overland departure to the Camp, our box van will pick up your surfboards and other large bags from your hotel between 6:00-8:00 PM. At approximately 11:00 PM, our bus will pick you up from your hotel and begin the journey to Java.

PLEASE NOTE:  Guests staying in Kuta on Poppies Lane 1, Poppies Lane 2, Jalan Legian, and Jalan Benesari need to come to the office at 9:30 PM for departure with their remaining small bag(s). Come to the office by 9:00 PM with all your belongings for guests outside the Kuta area.  The bus will then depart from the office, pick up the remaining guests in the KUTA pick-up area,  and start the journey to Java.

We apologize for this change, but we are no longer picking up guests on these streets in the Kuta pick-up area because the heavy traffic on these tight, 1-way streets/alleys has made it extremely difficult to keep on schedule and uncomfortable for those guests already on the bus.  Please remember this when setting up your transport to bring you to the office for departure.  Sometimes it can take 20 minutes to travel 500 meters in a vehicle.

OVERLAND JOURNEY TO G-LAND BOBBY’S SURF CAMP

The Bali side of the journey is a 2.5-hour drive to the ferry port of Gilimanuk, which is approximately 130 kilometers from Kuta.  The 4-kilometer ferry crossing to Ketapang in East Java normally takes about 60 minutes. It’s another 3-hour drive (90 kilometers) southward towards Alas Purwo National Park, reaching the final destination at Pantai Plengkung (the traditional name for G-Land).

Typically, you’ll be walking into camp by 7:00 AM.  The time in Java is 1 hour behind Bali since the time zone runs through the Bali Strait.  When you walk into the Camp, the Staff will be waiting, ready to welcome you and serve you breakfast.  After you have eaten, the Staff taking care of you, whether you’re staying in Standard, Deluxe, or Superior will take you to your bungalow.  Your board typically shows up around this time and after that, you’re set to immerse yourself into G-Land.

RETURN TRIP FROM G-LAND BACK TO BALI

After you have your last breakfast of the trip, you’ll begin the journey back to Bali at 8:00 AM, following the same route as you did from Bali to Java. Final arrival at Kuta Beach is normally right around sunset time, about 6:00 PM and our driver will drop you off at your hotel in the Kuta area, including Poppies Lane 1, Poppies Lane 2, Jalan Legian, and Jalan Benesari.

Depending on road conditions, Your boards will typically be dropped off at your hotel around 9:00 PM.  For guests staying outside of the Kuta area, we can arrange transport with our drivers for both yourself and your baggage, at a cost depending on the distance from Kuta.  Otherwise, we will bring you back to our office, including your large bags when they arrive later that evening.
