This is the map to see where surfing in Kuta is located. It is not far from the Airport, only 15 minutes drive, and there are quite a number of budget and luxury hotels around the area.
Kuta is very crowded almost 24 hours a day. During day time there are a lot of tourist walking around the area for sightseeing, surfing or dining, and in the evening there are a lot of noisy night clubs on almost every corner of the area with loud music playing and people dancing inside and outside the clubs.
If you like crowd, loud and happening place then Kuta is for you. In the contrary if you are annoyed by all of the above, I suggest some other quite places i.e. Jimbaran, Nusa Dua or Sanur.
SURFING IN KUTA
Now let’s talk about Surfing in Kuta. Kuta is the main beach of Bali and is the main place for surfing. This beach is about 3 kilometers long so there are rooms for everyone to surf here. Being the main beach and the main surfing spot in Bali, Kuta can be very crowded especially during high season i.e. June, July, August and December.
Kuta beach is the place to surf for beginners and experienced surfers. There are some companies who offer Surf Lessons in Bali and they conduct their lessons on this beach as the wave is friendly and no dangerous reefs around the area.
