Echo Beach was originally known as Pantai Batu Mejan, after the nearby Hindu temple Pura Batu Mejan. Although its black sand beach is not one of the most beautiful in Bali, Echo Beach has grown in popularity due to its advanced reef breaks, stunning 180-degree sea view, and beautiful sunsets.

What kind of waves can be found at Echo Beach Left?

With a good swell, Echo Beach Left breaks hard and often heavy over a shallow reef. It is known to barrel and jack up as the wave hits the reef. This is not for the inexperienced surfer. On a good day, surfers will slot in for a quick but nuggety barrel.

Where is Echo Beach?

Echo Beach Bali is located at the end of Jl. Pura Batu Mejan directly in front of Echo Beach Club and La Brisa.

The beach can be reached by descending a few steps to the right of the gate. Parasols and colorful beanbags are set up 100 meters along the coastline on low-lying rocks for chill-out sessions. It is approximately 35 kilometers west of North Kuta and Seminyak, and 14 kilometers west of Denpasar, the provincial capital.
