Cucukan Village is home to around 200 local Balinese who have lived for hundreds of years within the area, with not a great deal changing over the years. Its secluded proximity to the rest of the island has provided an opportunity for this tiny village to achieve its own special identity. These gentle Balinese farmers, who tend their rice paddies, geese, ducks and pigs, are also expert fishermen who launch in the early hours bringing back an array of fresh lobster and delectable seafood each day.

Surf In Cucukan
Cucukan is located east side of Bali, north from Keramas. It is not crowded because it is far from Sanur, and it is good to go there when Keramas is crowded. Cucukan becomes popular as good wave recently. It takes about 40 min. from Kuta by bike, and it is not good road from By-pass to beach. The beach is in front of house of former president, Megawati. There are 3 peaks, right break in front of warung and left side of warung and right break in right side. Normally, long ride is possible in right break. There is left break but it is short riding. It tends to be good condition when it is going to high tide. The bottom is reef and shallow when its low tide. It is recommended to wear reef boots. There are 2 warung (beach hut).
