Canggu is a territory in Bali with some beaches inside, I will only recommend two places to surf in this territory, in this page I will write about Brawa Beach in Canggu, and the second beach is Echo Beach.

The beaches in Canggu are not as beautiful as Kuta as there is no white sands around the area, although this beach is only 30 minutes away to the west from Kuta or 45 minutes from Airport. The beach sand in Bali is getting darker as to west you go, nevertheless it still offers a fine waves for anyone to surf. At the end of the day you are looking for the waves right?

 

 

SURFING IN CANGGU

Surfing in Canggu is as fun as in Kuta, as the wave is friendly, no dangerous reefs that may hurt you, therefore even beginners can surf here. There are also some surf learning companies around the area as the results of the friendly wave, therefore this beach is also suitable for beginners also experienced. The only disadvantage is the sand is black, not as beautiful as if it is white, but you don’t come to this place for the sand anyway, but for the waves.

Unlike Kuta which can be very crowded, Canggu beach offers more space for everyone during low or high season. There are some restaurants, cafe or hotels around the area although not as many as in Kuta, but Canggu area is more “Bali” compare to Kuta which is more “Western” these days.
